FRIDAY FAVES

Well, hello Friday! Good to see you again!

It's been awhile since I've done a Friday Faves, so I figured it was about time!

Here are a few things I've been loving lately...

[ MUSIC ]

Whether I am blasting some tunes while I clean, playing music in the background as I design, or paging through some gossip magazines on a plane, these ladies amazing tunes are what I've been enjoying on repeat lately. Here are some of my favorite tracks from these powerhouse females...

[ YOU TUBE ]

I've just recently gotten into watching & subscribing to channels on You Tube. It's amazing how many great channels there are with creative and informative content. Here are some of the channels I subscribe to...

Shameless Maya - An awesome mixture of lifestyle content. My favorite videos of hers are her Tech Talk videos where she shares info about lighting, editing, cameras, software programs and other tech accessories she uses. She makes the equipment and programs she uses really easy to understand. Love it! I even bought a lighting bundle she has on her Amazon store because she did such a great job explaining it in one of her Tech Talk videos.

Studio DIY - If you love the Studio DIY blog, website and instagram account you will love their You Tube channel as well. The channel just launched this August so there are not too many vidoes yet, but the ones that are up are so fun and really portray their 'Make Life A Party' attitude! I'm sure there will continue to be fun & playful videos in the future. (Side note: Kelly Mindell, the creator of Studio DIY was one of my mentors at the Create & Cultivate conference I went to last weekend in Atlanta and she is awesome! So creative and an inspiringly successful biz woman!)

Mr. Kate - Kate Albrecht and her husband Joey are the adorable-as-heck couple who founded Mr. Kate. Not only does Mr. Kate have videos filled with stylish fashion tips, super-trendy DIY's, amazing interior design room makeovers, but their website also sells super cute jewelry & accessories. The Mr. Kate Snapchat account is also one of my faves to watch! She has such a fun personality and a great eye for design! And if you love cats, you'll get a healthy dose of their fluffy furballs Winston & Roxanne :)

Wengie - If you are looking for fun videos with creative life hacks & tips, head over to Wengie's channel. She is a super cute & stylish Aussie with a fun personality!

Clevver Style / Clevver TV (Beauty Break, Lunchy Break, Cheat Day, Beauty Trippin, etc.) - Clevver is a media brand that produces videos covering celebrities, beauty trends, fashion, gossip, food challenges and more. My favorite videos are on their Clevver Style and Clevver TV channels. All the hosts, including Lily Marston & Joslyn Davis have fun personalities and a great dynamic together. I do have to admit, when I first watched a couple videos I was like "Whoa, personality overload. These girls are annoying." But I, ironically, now find myself wishing they were my besties! If you are looking for an endless supply of videos covering crazy beauty trends, unconventional ice cream flavors, celebrity who-wore-it-betters and much, much more, you should check out the Clevver channels.

Shay Mitchell - When Shay isn't trying to track down "A" on Pretty Little Liars, she is making super fun videos on her You Tube channel. It's a mixture of travel, health, diy, beauty, food & fun!

[ FALL ]

Whenever fall comes around, I can't get enough candy corn and Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice.

And this year is no different!

[ BEAUTY & HAIR ]

Nubian Heritage - Coconut & Papaya Hand Cream - Such a light, sweet scent and it feels great! Not oily or slimy.

Ogx - Thick & Full Biotin & Collagen Conditioner - (Shampoo is shown, but I've been using the conditioner) I actually bought this only because the store was out of the shampoo & conditioner I usually buy, but I'm glad I did! Happy accident!

Shea Moisture - Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Creme Rinse Shampoo - (Creme rinse is shown, but I've been using the shampoo) - This shampoo was one of the items in my swag bag from the Create & Cultivate conference I was at and to be honest, I almost threw it away. It's a pretty large bottle and, being the over-packer I am, I didn't think I had enough room for it in my luggage. But I felt guilty throwing it away so I squeezed that sucker into my suitcase and brought it home to WI. I am so glad I did!! There is something about the combination of this with the Ogx conditioner that I am loving. My hair has been feeling great all week. Full, clean & smells amazing!

Yes to - Tomatoes - Clear Skin - Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes - This was another freebie in my swag bag from Create & Cultivate. I've been using these wipes every night this week and I love them! My face feels really clean and refreshed after using.

[ POWER WORDS ]

The Create & Cultivate conference I went to was such an inspiring, creative, and motivational experience. I am still floating on a high from it. The day was filled with speaker panels & mentor sessions from amazing successful bloggers and women entrepreneurs. Because of the positive energy, great sense of community of the conference and the encouraging, motivating words from all the woman who were part of it, I've been really drawn to the quotes & sayings shown in the images above. You do you girl!

[ BINGE WATCHING ]

The Amazing Race - Unfortunately for my free time I have recently discovered how addicting The Amazing Race is! I can't stop watching. It doesn't help that there are like 28 seasons to watch on Hulu. It's so fun to see all the different places the teams travel to and the amazing adventures and challenges they go through and complete in to win.

Adam Devine - This is not so much a 'binge watch', but rather just a simple, loveable, funny-boy crush. So cute and a great comedic actor! He was so funny in The Intern!

The Mindy Project - I go through spurts of watching The Mindy Project. I'll watch a bunch of episodes in a row, fall in love with the colorful cast of characters and perfect sense of humor, but then I'll get distracted with another show or project and forget about it for awhile. But whenever I make my way back for more episodes I can't stop watching until I catch up again.

Have a great Friday!
